Shipping to the EU and Northern Ireland | New GPSR Laws
To my lovely EU Customers,
On December 13th 2024, the EU will introduce the GPSR (General Product Safety Regulation).
On December 13th 2024, the EU will introduce the GPSR (General Product Safety Regulation).
This advice has been very vague and unclear, and is set to cause issues for small businesses who send their goods to the EU and Northern Ireland.
The new regulation requires all businesses (including small, handmade and/or independent businesses) to have a representative within the EU who acts on their behalf regarding product safety. This is a highly costly process and not something I'm able to consider right now.
Until a workable solution is found that is within the new regulations AND affordable to my small business, I'm afraid I will need to make some changes to RinkyDink's delivery options for the foreseeable future.

Due to this, I have had made the difficult decision to temporarily stop accepting online orders from the EU from 10th December 2024.
If you are one of our valued EU customers and you would like to place an order with me, please ensure they are placed before 11am on Tuesday 10th December 2024. Any EU orders placed before this time will be packed and sent as usual, After this date there will no longer be an EU shipping option available on our website.
Gutted isn't even an understatement. I feel so let down by my own government.
Please rest assured that I'm working hard to be able to find a suitable and affordable option that will allow me to restart sending orders to the EU.

I'm so sorry to the amazing EU customers who are disappointed by this news. I hope to get this issue resolved in the new year.
Thank you for your custom over the last four years, and I hope to be able to welcome you back very soon.
Please note: UK & non-EU orders will not be impacted and we will not change the delivery options currently available to you.
Again, I'm so sorry.
All my love,
